In his latest book A Little Book Of India: Celebrating 75 years of Independence where the celebrated author paid homage to his beloved country India, praised Narendra Modi. He honoured him in a few lines describing him as a man of humble beginnings whose political acumen, natural sagacity and yogic willpower brought him to the top.
These words managed to pique a few “wokes” resulting in him getting “cancelled” by them despite him being the most beloved writer of India.

India’s favourite modern author, a Padma Shree award winner who had also been imbibed in our childhood memories dedicated his recent book to our country. While India was celebrating Independence Day on 26th January, his book came in. It’s appalling how he was dismissed by these young people the reason being that he wrote pleasant words in favour of our Prime Minister.

“Cancel culture” invented by generation has mostly negative connotations and had been toxic. It has been deteriorating the mental health and wellness of so many beings and is so problematic.
Reacting to these words of admiration, few “twitteratis” referred to him as a “Sanghi" in an extremely disrespectful manner, moreover, “cancelling” him.
